Reader It seems like everyone- coast to coast- is complaining about the record heat! We should be used to it in Arizona, I mean c'mon, it happens every year 😎🌵 Back in Vermont, where I grew up, the old-timer locals would say, "Wicked hot!" or "Raining again? There goes the summer." So, why don't we ever have a plan for something productive that we COULD do (and probably something we say we always want to get to 'someday') when the weather doesn't cooperate? The weather is perfect in Arizona during the spring, so "spring cleaning" is NOT how I spend my time! However, summer here is extreme...like the several-degrees-below zero days I grew up with in the Northeast U.S. You do not plan on spending time outside when it gets extreme. This is one of the reasons I use an "Academic" planner (the one teachers use). It spans July through June rather than January through December. There are several reasons this works best for me....
One of the best investments of my 'summer time' has been organizing my digital files, bookmarks, and photos. You know how I usually list My Favorite Things in my emails- well, this is my LEAST favorite thing...When I can't find what I am looking for when I need it! Arghhhh 🙄 You, same? ➡️ If your desktop is cluttered, your inbox is overflowing, and your bookmarks are a mystery even to you... you're not alone. Digital clutter doesn’t seem urgent — until you realize how much time it’s actually costing you. That’s why I want to tell you about something that made a huge difference for me. It’s called The Digital Clutter Cure, and right now you can grab it for $100 off as part of the Summer Reset Sale. 👉 Grab it here: DIGITAL CLUTTER CURE This program was created by Lydia Martin, my digital systems coach, and I highly recommend it! (This is my affiliate link where I recommend the things I believe in without any additional cost to you 💙) Inside the program, you’ll learn how to: ✅ Organize your files, links, emails, photos, and passwords (I HATE resetting forgotten passwords)! ✅ Set up simple systems that work with your brain, not against it ✅ Reclaim hours of time you didn’t realize you were wasting 🤷♀️ Worried you’re “not techy”? This was made with you in mind. Busy? You get lifetime access and can go at your own pace. Running a business? Great — but this works for personal life too. 🎉 Get it before July 10th for the DISCOUNT! If your digital world feels heavy and scattered, this is your chance to clear it up for good. Let me know if you join. I’d love to cheer you on! Happy Summer! 😎🌵💙 Valerie

Hey there Reader~ Have you ever had that awkward feeling walking into a party or a networking event and it seems like everyone already knows each other, or at least knows someone? Cue the flashback to the first days of school—12 years in a row—scanning the room, hoping someone makes eye contact. You see the popular group, effortlessly magnetic, and maybe even hover close hoping the proximity will give others the impression that you belong. I used to do that. It was exhausting. Eventually, I...
Hey there Reader~ It seems like life in the summer was simpler when we were kids (or maybe we didn't have a clue what was going on). For me, it was riding my bike to meet my friends at the public beach. For my kids, it was deciding whose pool they would swim in today. We would meet our neighbors at an impromptu neighborhood BBQ, or end up in the middle of the lake, tying the boats together with whoever was there. The kids would jump in the water, the moms would pull food out of the coolers,...
